Senior Managing Director
Paul Lyons serves as Senior Managing Director of Tectonic Advisors. He has the primary management responsibility over investment strategies, institutional and individual client relationships, professional and administrative personnel, project planning and implementation, and communication and reporting. Additionally, he is Vice President of Sanders Morris Harris where he oversees the investment strategy and regulatory reporting. Before joining Tectonic, he spent eight years as a Manager and Senior Manager for KPMG in their wealth management practice, serving institutional and high net worth clients. Prior to that, he worked as a personal financial planner for three years at J.E. Simmons & Co. specializing in helping dentists and doctors. Mr. Lyons began his professional career in the real estate practice of Ernst & Young, where he started as an Associate and rose to the level of Manager. In his five years with E&Y, he worked with and managed audits of REITS and real estate operating companies. At E&Y, he also served on multiple consulting engagements, including loan workouts, litigation support, valuation and investment analysis. Mr. Lyons received a BBA in finance and accounting from Baylor University. He holds a CPA, CFP and Texas P&C license.
